Frequently Asked Questions
1:1 Coaching
How do I know if coaching is what I need?
If you’ve tried to address a challenge or habit on your own, and haven’t been able to make the changes you want, coaching is a perfect place to start.
How many coaching sessions will I need?
I recommend committing to 6 sessions. Typically my clients have one session every two weeks. That gives you time to implement a plan and adjust your strategy. If you need fewer sessions- great! If you need more, that’s OK too. I also have clients who schedule monthly or quarterly “check-ins” for additional accountability and support.
Can I get my employer to pay for my coaching?
Many companies have budgets for professional development that can be put toward coaching or training. Reach out to your leadership or human resources to find out. I’m happy to partner with your company to help support your success.
Organizational Development/Team COaching
How do I figure out what my team needs?
You schedule a free consultation. Seriously, let’s just chat. I’m ridiculously helpful. If I’m not what your team needs, I’ll help point you to other potential resources and you’ll leave the call feeling better than you felt beforehand.
Do you work with teams remotely or in person?
Yes to both. Once we determine what your team or organization needs and what modality makes the most sense, I’ll put together a proposal for you and we’ll go from there.
What does the process look like?
Let me start with what it DOESN’T look like. I don’t do “one and done” workshops. Why? Because I’ve been to too many corporate retreats where everyone leaves feeling inspired in their new fleece jackets with the company logo, determined to put all the amazing learning into practice. Three months later the only thing that’s different is the fleece jacket. Real change takes time, effort, and commitment. If you are willing to invest all three, I’d love to work with your team.
Typically, I have an initial conversation with the team’s leadership to better understand where they are and where they want to be. Then I create a proposal based on that initial conversation. Depending on the size of the team and the changes you are looking to make, the program will involve group sessions with the entire team, break-out sessions with smaller groups, and 1:1 sessions with me to lock in individual learning. You can expect to have individual and group “homework” to work on between sessions and accountability structures to help support the desired changes. There will also be leadership check-ins along the way to make sure we are hitting the desired milestones and to fine-tune the process, if necessary.
